This horror-comedy short film was produced on a meager budget of $15.00. The images were created with ball-point pens and index cards as a challenge of whether or not a story could be successfully delivered with everyday materials.

A series of 150+ index cards were photographed, cut out, and edited together. The visual effects produced to give the feeling of an old cartoon were all digitally fabricated.

The story begins as a classic haunted house tale, but digital interruptions-- influences taken from analog horror films and media-- show a darkness deeper than what's on the surface of the language and design.

I tend toward flipping conventions. The ending of this story let's forgiveness prevail despite the horrible things that occurred in the first two acts. Sometimes the happy ending is the most unexpected, especially when the stakes are created by a murderous monster.
